Time
"Why do you rush?",
"Why the hurry?"
I have things to do—
Let me do my things,
But—
There isn’t enough of you.
You do not stop,
Nor is there an end to you,
Yet you are never enough—
Always moving forward,
No turning back, no regrets.
I will never catch you.
Most don’t value you,
Ignoring and cursing
Simply for moving forward.
We start together,
But—
You achieve more.
You are free of grief and stress,
Unlike us.
"Is that why you are light and fast?"
Or—
Are you just omnipotent?
Whatever you are,
Will never be visible to us.
"Are you greedy?"
Or—
"Are we neglecting your aid?"
Slow down so that
We can sense it
And do things for ourselves.
I know, you don’t hear us—
That ability would just slow you down.
You keep moving, and we complain;
That is what separates us—
We are the ones who
Try, always slightly, to catch up with you.
You go on—
I will too.
Waiting for you is pointless,
For you do not turn back—Eternally.
